The 3 most popular school-trip shirt sets
Set 1 — Stedman Classic-T ST2000 crew
Stedman Classic-T ST2000 is the school standard: OEKO-TEX certified, 41 colours for class identity. Live pricing in the configurator; a 25-pupil class is printed with digital print (screen print is only available from 50 pieces). Standard for classes 7–10 on multi-day trips.
Set 2 — FOTL Valueweight T 61-036 budget crew
Fruit of the Loom Valueweight is the class-treasury-friendly classic: 165 gsm, robust cut, 41 colours. Live pricing in the configurator. Standard for day trips and classes 5–6.
Set 3 — Premium graduation-class set
B&C Inspire #T190 is the premium choice for class 10 and 12 graduation trips: 190 gsm organic cotton. Worn ten years after the school trip — memorabilia character justifies the extra cost.
Hoodie cross-sell: school-trip hoodies are available — see "School-trip hoodies" further below (cord-free note).
Class logo and slogans — what really works?
Class names, slogans and destination references are the three main motifs.
Classic class names
- "Class 8a — 2026"
- "School Trip 9b — Berlin 2026"
- "Class 11c · School Musterstadt"
Funny slogans
- "Class 8a Makes the World Unsafe"
- "Last School-Trip Year"
- "Survived School, Now Celebrate"
- "Class 10 — and Now For Real"
Destination references
- "Sylt Crew 2026"
- "Berlin Trip Class 9b"
- "Ski First, School Later — Ski Camp 2026"
- "Roma School Trip — We Came, We Saw, We Partied"
Class crest style
- Class crest with class number and school name
- Crew layout: crest front small, all student names back
Graduation memorabilia
- "Graduation Class 2026 — We're Out"
- "10c · Realschule Musterstadt · Class of 2026"
Layout recommendation: class name front small (left chest, 4–6 cm), slogan plus class-crew name list back large (10–15 cm). We build a layout mockup free before order — class rep approves, then it goes to press.
School-day-trip variant — day trips and short trips
School day trip (one to two days) and school trip (three to seven days) follow different persona logic. For day trips, the budget standard FOTL Valueweight is enough — lower per-piece investment for a single-day memory. For multi-day trips, Stedman quality pays off (worn more often, washed more often).
| Quantity | Digital print per shirt (motif up to 25 × 20 cm, net) | Volume discount on the shirts |
|---|---|---|
| 18-set | €4.16/pc. | 3 % |
| 25-set | €3.99/pc. | 10 % |
| 30-set | €3.99/pc. | 10 % |
Print price per print position, net, plus VAT, no set-up. The configurator shows you the live shirt price for FOTL Valueweight (day trip) and Stedman ST2000 (school trip).
Graduation-class shirts (10th and 12th class)
Graduation classes order differently from classes 5–9: the shirt is memorabilia, worn for ten years, the investment per piece may be higher.
Recommended: B&C Inspire #T190 premium organic, 190 gsm. Layout standard: class crest front, all students' names back (tradition).
Note: are you actually looking for graduation shirts instead of a school trip? → /en/occasions/graduation/ has its own page with year-group shirts, teacher shirts and graduation crew slogans.
School-trip hoodies — the cord question
Note (mandatory): many schools forbid hoodies with cords for safety reasons (strangulation risk). Clarify in advance with the class teacher. If the school forbids cord hoodies, there are two cord-free solutions:
- B&C Open Hood (cord-free) — school-compliant standard, live pricing in the configurator
- Stedman Hooded Sweatshirt Active Hooded — cord-free alternative
| Quantity | Digital print per hoodie (motif up to 25 × 20 cm, net) |
|---|---|
| 20-set | €4.16/pc. |
| 25-set | €3.99/pc. |
| 30-set | €3.99/pc. |
Print price per print position, net, plus VAT, no set-up. The configurator shows you the live price for the B&C Open Hood — from 20 pieces with a 10 % volume discount on the hoodies.

Printing techniques for class crews — screen print or DTG?
The class treasury is price-sensitive. Rule of thumb:
| Technique | Min. quantity | Print price 25-set (per position, net) | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen print | from 50 pieces | not possible — at 50 pieces single-colour: €1.93 (white shirt) or €2.20 (coloured shirt) plus set-up €20 per screen | 100+ washes |
| DTG | from 1 piece | €3.15–5.67 depending on motif size, no set-up | 30–40 washes |
All print prices net, plus VAT, without shirt. On coloured shirts the white underbase counts as an extra screen in screen print.
Recommendation: screen print is available from 50 pieces — i.e. when two classes or a whole year group order together; per-piece price drops with run length, lasts 100+ washes. For a single class or photo print (class photo): DTG. More in our printing technique comparison.
Class-treasury payment — how to organise it
Three steps:
- Configurator order, treasury invoice on request — class rep places order, requests the treasury invoice. We deliver a parts list per size.
- Class rep collects money — treasury collects individual amounts by size and setup. Mockup before print free for approval.
- Class treasury pays invoice — once paid, we produce and ship: production 5–10 working days depending on technique (DTG 5–7, screen print 7–10), plus shipping.
Trust point: on request we issue treasury invoices — no 25 individual orders with individual payment needed. Volume discount on the shirts from 3 pieces (3 %), 10 % from 20 pieces — automatic in live pricing, not on the print. More under contact.
Delivery and school-trip planning
| Lead time before trip | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| 8+ weeks | Calm, all techniques possible |
| 4 weeks | Standard production (5–7 WD DTG, 7–10 WD screen print) plus shipping, tight |
| 2–3 weeks | Express on request recommended (3–5 working days) |
| 5–7 days | Overnight on request (1–2 working days, DTG after feasibility check; screen print not overnight-capable) |
Season note: school-trip peak season May–September. Order earlier when busy — presses are running hot.
Sizes for classes 5–12 — what to order for 13- to 19-year-olds
Student anatomy varies sharply between class 5 and 12. Rules of thumb:
- Classes 5–7 — often still in kids' sizes (XS / 152–164) or S
- Classes 8–12 — adult sizes (S–XXL)
- Women's-fit note — from class 8–9, women's slim-fit shirts (B&C Inspire Women) make sense for female students
Order tip: class rep collects sizes in advance (Google Sheet or WhatsApp list). We deliver in four to five size variations per order without surcharge — the volume discount is calculated per model across all sizes.
More under kids' clothing for younger classes.
Frequently asked questions about school-trip t-shirts
What does a school-trip t-shirt cost for 25 people?
It depends on the shirt and the motif. Digital print (DTG) at 25 pieces costs €3.15 (up to 15 × 10 cm) to €5.67 (up to 45 × 35 cm) per print position, net, plus VAT, with no set-up — e.g. a motif up to 25 × 20 cm on the front: €3.99 per piece, €99.75 for the whole class. The shirts come on top: FOTL Valueweight is the budget, Stedman ST2000 the standard and B&C Inspire organic the premium choice for graduation classes; the configurator shows the live price including volume discount (10 % on the shirts from 20 pieces). Full pricing at cheap t-shirt printing.
How does payment via class treasury work?
On request we issue invoices directly to the class treasury. Class rep places order in the configurator, requests the treasury invoice, we deliver a parts list per size. Treasury collects, pays invoice, we ship. No 25 individual orders needed.
Are hoodies cord-free (school-compliant)?
Yes — B&C Open Hood is the cord-free school-compliant solution because many schools forbid cords on safety grounds. Alternative: Stedman Hooded Sweatshirt Active Hooded. Both from 1 piece. When in doubt clarify with class teacher.
Which model is the most popular for school trips?
Stedman Classic-T ST2000 — OEKO-TEX, 41 colours, robust school-standard cut. For budget-sensitive classes FOTL Valueweight, for graduation classes B&C Inspire premium organic. Live pricing in the configurator.
Can I print our own class photos?
Yes — with DTG from 1 piece. Photo upload in the configurator, minimum 300 DPI at final print size. For class photos on 25 crew shirts we recommend DTG (not screen print) — photo quality with DTG is significantly better. How we process uploaded photos is explained in our privacy policy.
How do we best collect sizes?
Google Sheet or WhatsApp list with "Name", "Size", "Women's/Men's fit". Class rep collects in advance, sizes entered in the configurator per person. We deliver four to five size variations per order without surcharge — the volume discount is calculated per model across all sizes.
From which quantity does screen print pay off?
Screen print is available from 50 pieces — we don't offer it below that, not even for a 25-pupil class. From 50 pieces (two classes or a year group) it pays off for single-colour motifs: €1.93 per piece on white shirts plus €20 set-up; on coloured shirts €2.20 plus €40 set-up (the white underbase is an extra screen), net, plus VAT. Below 50 pieces or for photo print (class photo) DTG is recommended. The configurator automatically suggests the cheapest technique for your quantity.
How long does delivery take before our school trip?
Standard production time: DTG 5–7 working days, screen-print bulk 7–10 working days, plus shipping (1–2 working days within Germany). Express 3–5 working days on request. For trip in 4 weeks → order now. Express recommended at 2–3 weeks. Live tracking from print-data approval via DHL.
Are there women's slim-fit shirts for female students?
Yes — B&C Inspire Women (women's slim fit), Stedman Classic-T Women's Cut, FOTL Lady-Fit Original T. All printable from 1 piece, identical logo layout to men's variant combinable. For mixed classes ask in advance who wants women's fit.
What are the most popular school-trip slogans?
Funny ("Class 8a Makes the World Unsafe", "Last School-Trip Year"), destination references ("Sylt Crew 2026", "Berlin Trip Class 9b"), graduation memorabilia ("Class 2026 — We're Out") are the top three categories. Slogan templates per category in the configurator.
