PG-1 — Men's H2X-DRY Polo (51218)
140 gsm polyester piqué with mechanical stretch, UV protection factor 40+, ribbed collar and a three-button placket. The lightest polo in the StormTech programme and, at S–5XL, the one with the widest size range. First choice for field sales and summer events where cotton gets too heavy.
PG-1W — Women's H2X-DRY Polo (51318)
Same fabric as the PG-1 — 140 gsm piqué, UV protection 40+, H2X-DRY finish — only in a women's cut: a two-button placket with V-opening instead of three buttons, sizes XS to 3XL. For mixed teams, pairing PG-1 with PG-1W is the easiest route: identical colours (Black, Carbon, Navy), identical price, one embroidery file for both.
GPX-5 — Unisex Endurance HD Polo (51518)
At 200 gsm noticeably heavier than the two PG models and therefore more dimensionally stable in daily use. Concealed placket, contrast piping, side vents and UV protection 50+. The colours are two-tone (Black/Dolphin, Navy/Navy, Azure/Black) — the model to pick over the PG-1 when you need a more premium look at reception or on a trade-fair stand.
Which finishing fits StormTech polo shirts?
All three polos are 100 % polyester piqué, not a blend. For embroidery that is the most straightforward base: the stitch holds firmly in the piqué and survives industrial laundering. Flex printing suits small runs and multi-colour motifs because no screens are needed (price on request). Screen printing (from 50 pieces) only plays out its strength on larger areas — and for that the 200 gsm GPX-5 is the better base than the two light 140 gsm models.
