Configurator workflow — sweatshirt order in 5 steps
- Pick the model. Stanley/Stella: Roller (280 g/m²) or Thinker (350 g/m², organic cotton, GOTS). Mass-market classic: FOTL Premium Sweat or Classic Set-In. Heavy variant: B&C King Sweat. Organic streetwear: Mantis Mid-Weight or B&C Inspire Sweat.
- Calculate sizes and colours. Volume ladder from 3 pcs (3 %), 100 pcs (25 %), 500 pcs (32 %) — per product (all sizes and colours of one model together), on the goods only.
- Upload the artwork. Vector SVG/PDF for embroidery and screen print. PNG (300 dpi) for DTF and DTG.
- Pick finishing. Recommendation: embroidery for premium sweaters (Thinker, King Sweat). DTF for multi-colour designs on mass-market sweats. Screen print for high volumes above 100 pieces with single-colour motif.
- Approve the preview. PDF preview before production. For club orders with sponsor logo layout: sponsor-layout service on request (price on request).

The configurator shows the Thinker price. Pantone matching included in the price; a physical embroidered sample is optional (price on request). Case 2 — Bavarian fashion label drop, 60 King Sweats with DTF
A streetwear label from southern Germany orders 60 B&C King Sweats (WUS02) in black for a wholesale drop. Finishing: one-sided DTF back (photo-realistic motif four-colour, A3 size). DTF runs as digital print with us: A3 (1,247 cm², format up to 45 × 35 cm) costs €5.00 net per sweat at 60 pieces, no setup; the configurator shows the King Sweat price, and the 60 sweats get 15 % volume discount. Case 3 — Schleswig-Holstein school choir, 45 Classic Set-In Sweats
A school choir in Schleswig-Holstein orders 45 FOTL Classic Set-In Sweats (62-202-0) in Royal for a national choir gathering. Finishing: embroidery left chest (choir logo) + flex print back (choir member names individually). Embroidery by stitch area (at 45 pieces the 20–49 pieces tier) plus digitising per order; the flex-print names: price on request. The 45 sweats get 10 % volume discount.

Sweatshirt cuts explained — Crewneck, Set-In, Raglan
Crewneck (classic). Round-neck pullover with classic shoulder seam (set-in sleeves). The most common variant — clean shoulder line. Examples: FOTL Premium Set In Sweat (62-154-0), B&C King Sweat, Stanley/Stella Roller (STSU868).
Set-In sleeve (classic). Sleeves are inserted into the classic shoulder seam. Variant of the crewneck, often cheaper, slightly less athletic look. Example: FOTL Classic Set-In Sweat (62-202-0).
Raglan sleeve (athletic). Sleeves run diagonally from neckline to underarm, without classic shoulder seam. Athletic look, often in sports apparel. Examples: some Mantis and FOTL sport sweaters. Important: raglan sweaters are particularly well-suited to embroidery of large chest logos because the chest area is available without seam interruption.
Cropped sweater. Shortened sweater variant (often women's line). On request via Stanley/Stella Stella line or the Mantis range.
Brushed inside vs. unbrushed. Brushed inside (e.g. Stedman Comfort Sweat, FOTL Premium Sweat) has roughened inner fleece — warmer, softer. Unbrushed is lighter, faster-drying.
Sweatshirt care guide
Wash temperature. Organic sweaters (Stanley/Stella Thinker, B&C Inspire Sweat): 30 °C. Mass-market sweats: 40 °C. Heavy sweaters with industrial-wash demand (B&C King Sweat, Russell R-599M): up to 60 °C.
Wash inside out. Like with hoodies: print and embroidery don't directly contact the drum. Significantly increases print durability.
Dry brushed inside before first wash. So the inner fleece fibres "set" properly — after the first wash, additionally smooth by hand if needed.
Set the dryer gently. Sweaters with print or embroidery: low dryer setting or air-dry. Mass-market sweaters without finishing tolerate normal drying.
Protect logos and embroidery from the iron. When ironing, always from the inside or with a pressing cloth — direct contact with the iron burns plastisol screen print and loosens embroidery threads.
Volume discount for sweatshirts — example calculations
30 Stanley/Stella Thinker sweaters with two-sided embroidery (e.g. chest logo 8 × 8 cm = 64 cm² and back lettering 14 × 10 cm = 140 cm²): embroidery 30 × (€9.12 + €14.38) = €705.00 plus digitising €44.00 + €55.00 = €804.00 net. The 30 sweaters themselves get 10 % volume discount; the configurator shows the Thinker price.
100 FOTL Premium Sweats with two-sided DTF + chest-left embroidery (e.g. DTF front up to 25 × 20 cm and back A4, embroidery 8 × 8 cm): DTF (digital print, no setup) 100 × (€2.90 + €3.74) = €664.00 plus embroidery 100 × €5.28 = €528.00 plus digitising €44.00 = €1,236.00 net for the finishing. The 25 % volume ladder (from 100 pieces) applies to the sweats only, whose price the configurator shows.
200 Gildan Heavy Blend Sweats with two-sided screen print (single colour per side): The volume ladder (30 % from 200 pieces) applies to the sweats only, not to print or setup. At 200 pieces the screen print on white sweats costs 2 × €1.16 = €2.32 net per piece plus €40 setup (2 screens at €20, net), on every order. On coloured sweats each side is charged as 2-colour because of the white underbase: 2 × €1.43 = €2.86 per piece, plus €80 setup (4 screens).
