W101 Bag for Life Long Handles
The classic: 140 gsm pure cotton, 38 × 42 cm, 10 litres, mid-length 67 cm handles that work both in the hand and over the shoulder. The 43 colours are the real reason this model ends up in the basket so often — from White and Natural through Cranberry and Petrol to Mustard and Caramel, and all of them at the same price. Print area: 33 × 36 cm.
W801 EarthAware Organic Bag for Life
Same body as the W101 — 38 × 42 cm, 10 litres, 67 cm handles — but made from 340 gsm organic cotton canvas instead of 140 gsm cotton. That is the only relevant difference and the whole point: the W801 stands up on its own once filled, the W101 collapses. For trade-fair bags, bookshops and anything meant to be reused. Embroidery: round hoop size 18.
W125 Maxi Bag for Life
The Maxi Bag is not a bigger W101, it is a different construction: 35 × 39 × 13.5 cm with a real gusset, giving 18 litres instead of 10, and shorter 58 cm handles. The one to pick for boxes, folders or a week's shopping. Only 3 colours (Natural, Black, Graphite Grey), print area 25 × 38 cm, embroidery hoop size 22.
W110 Cotton Gymsac
Drawstring gym bag, 37 × 46 cm, 12 litres, 140 gsm. 27 colours including seven two-tone versions such as Lavender/White or Pastel Mint/White — which makes it the most colourful model after the W101. Typical use: club sport, school campaigns, festival giveaways. Finishing area 30 × 32 cm.
W407 Classic Jute Shopper
The only jute body in this selection: 100 % laminated jute with woven cotton handles, 42 × 33 × 19 cm and 21 litres — the largest capacity on this page. The seven natural combinations (Natural, Natural/Black, Natural/Fuchsia and others) are cheaper than the four dyed solids. Note: laminated jute is not machine washable, it is wiped down with a damp cloth.
W201 Premium Cotton Tote
The middle ground between W101 and W801: identical 38 × 42 cm and 67 cm handles, but 200 gsm instead of 140 or 340. Five colours, reinforced seams at the handles, print area 33 × 36 cm. If the W101 is too thin and the W801 too expensive, this is the answer.
Which finishing fits Westford Mill Bags?
The smooth cotton bodies (W101, W201, W801, W110, W125) take every common process. For single-colour logos, screen printing is available from 50 pieces and becomes the most economical as the run grows, because the set-up (€20 per screen (net), on every order; on every bag colour except white and off white, natural included, a white underbase adds one more screen) spreads across the run. For multi-colour artwork and small quantities, digital printing is cheaper, and embroidery delivers the most premium look — with round hoop size 18 on the W801 and size 22 on the W125.
One exception is the Classic Jute Shopper W407: laminated jute has a coarse, irregular surface. There we recommend screen or transfer printing rather than digital print.
