Heavy Blend Hoodie 18500

Our most-ordered Gildan hoodie and the benchmark for club and crew wear: 270 g/m² (white 255 g/m²), 50 % cotton / 50 % polyester, heather shades 60 % polyester / 40 % cotton. Double-lined hood, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs. From S to 2XL every one of the 37 colours costs the same — €13.48; from 3XL it is €19.01 (net). In 4XL and 5XL we stock it in six colours only (white, black, sport grey, navy, royal, red).

Softstyle Midweight Fleece Hoodie SF500

The SF500 is the soft alternative to the 18500: 285 g/m² (white 278 g/m²), 80 % ring-spun cotton / 20 % polyester, brushed inside, two-piece hood and a forward shoulder seam. The difference to the 18500 is not the cut but the yarn — ring-spun instead of open-end, which prints smoother and feels softer. Pricing splits into two groups: fashion shades such as smoke, cobalt, sage, off white or dusty rose start at €8.07, while the core colours white, black, navy, sport grey and sand cost €14.20 (net).

Heavy Blend Full-Zip Hoodie 29309

Same Heavy Blend base as the 18500 (271 g/m², 50/50), but with a full-length concealed metal zip and two patch pockets. That is exactly the difference: identical fabric, different front — if you need club jackets rather than pullover hoodies, this is the model. White is not part of the range here; the 16 colours run from black through royal to irish green and safety green.

Softstyle Midweight Full-Zip 20609

The zip counterpart to the SF500: the same 285 g/m², the same brushed inside, plus a two-piece hood with jersey lining. Compared to the 29309 it is softer and smoother, but it only goes up to 4XL and comes in 12 colours. The better pick for chest embroidery, because the denser ring-spun surface shows less backing.

Heavy Blend Youth Hoodie 27809 (kids)

The kids' version of the Heavy Blend: 279 g/m² (white 265 g/m²), 50 % cotton / 50 % polyester, double-lined hood and kangaroo pocket. Sizes XS (104/110) to XL (176) in 18 colours, at a flat €12.78 net — regardless of size and colour. Typical use: leavers' hoodies, school crews, youth teams.

Which finishing fits Gildan Hoodies?

The two fabric families call for different processes. The Heavy Blend (18500, 29309, 27809) is a 50/50 open-end fabric with a slightly uneven surface — that is what screen printing was made for: opaque colour, low unit cost from medium runs upwards (screen printing from 50 pieces). The Softstyle Midweight (SF500, 20609) is ring-spun and smooth; here DTF printing and embroidery deliver the cleaner edges.

For chest logos, embroidery is uncritical on both fabric families — 270 to 285 g/m² carry the stitch area without distortion. For multi-colour artwork in small runs, DTF printing usually beats screen printing because no screens are needed — below 50 pieces we do not offer screen printing at all.
